PFI TRAINS THE NATIONS BEST
PFI TRAINS OUR NATION’S BEST AT THE NAVAL DIVING AND SALVAGE TRAINING CENTER IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA
PFI is proud to share our expertise in underwater breath-hold survival training and education with the U.S.’ most dedicated and courageous servicemen and women in the military Special Forces.
We have been training these elite soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines for 5 years now and with each course we are continually awed by the skill, physical abilities and sheer determination shown by these special operators from all branches.
In March 2017, PFI headed to the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, FLA for a week to train a group of 14 special operators & instructors from two different branches of the military. While there, and aside from our training, we had a meeting at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit to discuss “technical freediving” and how PFI is putting mixed gasses to use in our sport for safety and recovery, and we had an up-close tour of the amazing facilities they have for training and testing all aspects of naval diving and dive medicine.
It was truly our privilege to be among these great people. Here are a few pics from our training and visit. Enjoy!
This is the Navy’s incredible 40 ft. deep, heated outdoor pool. The tank has moveable floors that can adjust to various depths and the massive crane overhead lifts “projects” into the pool to be worked on by Navy divers.
