By reading the manual before class and completing the pre learning, a student will understand exactly what specific equipment is needed for each course.  There is also a list of specific gear requirements under the specific course pages.
  •  A good base set of dive gear to always have on hand is, a good fitting wetsuit, this means it is the appropriate size and thickness for the temperature of water, as well as not having any large holes or tears to let water flow in and out.  Freediving, long fins. low volume freediving mask, a weight belt with a quick release handle, weights preferably in1-2 pound increments.  Widebore snorkel, timing device as well as a towel and water.

If the weather is bad and/or the open water dives are canceled how do I complete my course?

  • There are times when weather is not in our favor.  When a dive or dives are canceled due to weather or other circumstances out of PFI instructor control we try our best to accommodate the needs of all the divers.  We offer the option to pay 25 dollars in order to hold a dive spot in upcoming class (as the numbers permit).  When the availability is open you are welcome to pay the 25 dollars,a and join for any makeup dives you need in order to complete your certifications.
