PFI ALUMNI COACHING PROGRAM - April 7 th - 20 th

This is open to all PFI members and will include, as an option, an Advanced program only during the last six days of the program (April 14-19).  Ten boat days at $75us/day and includes all the set-up and break-down, safety freedivers and 2 safety rebreather divers with mid-range video, bottom and top video, O2 decompression and video debriefing.

3rd Annual PFI Open Competition April 21-27, 2008

This competition has expanded to seven days of competition including your choice of 3 depth (non-sled) disciplines and 3 pool disciplines in any combination you desire.  No 'official' training days are provided, however over the seven days you'll have 5 boat competition days and 5 pool competition days in which you can choose to a) train, b) compete, c) take it as a rest day.

Overall winner is the highest point score in ALL 6 disciplines with awards for best individual disciplines.  This competition will be AIDA Ranked and world recordable. 

Cost of the competition is $650us and includes all boat and pool fees, safety systems and awards ceremony.  Doesn't include AIDA Anti-doping fees as required.  Daily on-line score updates will be provided along with a summary streaming video.  A competition DVD is included.  North American participants are required to have CAFA or USAA membership.  

FREEDIVING DISCIPLINES

• Constant Ballast - Swim down and up with fins retaining any weight taken.
• Constant Ballast No-fins - Swim down and up without fins retaining any weight taken.
• Free Immersion - Pull down and up a line without fins retaining any weight taken.
• Dynamic Apnea - Horizontal distance across a pool.
• No-Fins Dynamic Apnea - Horizontal distance across a pool without the use of fins.
• Static Apnea - Breath hold at the surface for time.

• Open to anyone that has an interest in freediving and is a comfortable freediver.
