Location Info

Classroom Sessions: Class sessions will be held at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center at 16600 NE 80th Street - Classroom 207 on Sat and Sun and then Classroom 104 on Monday.  There is plenty of parking.  Please leave your gear in your cars and just bring in your manual and something to write with.

Pool Sessions

Juanita Aquatic Center located at 10601 Northeast 132nd Street Kirkland, WA 98034.  It is by the high school and not well marked.

Open Water Sessions

For the open water training, we’ll be diving at Seacrest Park

Getting there: In downtown Seattle, take Exit 163 off Interstate 5 and follow the signs to the West Seattle Bridge. On the far side of the bridge take Harbor Avenue Exit. Turn right. Continue around the waterfront to the 1600 block of Harbor Avenue SW and the park.

Nearby Hotels/Motels

The best way to find hotels in your price range close to the classroom is to visit www.hotels.com, www.expedia.com or other such webistes and enter in the address of the class location (see above).

Equipment Requirements

Mask, fins and snorkel – Preferably low volume Freediving mask and long blade fins or mono fin.

  • Wetsuit with gloves and boots – 5mm freediving suit required for pool and ocean sessions. Good freediving suit with attached hood is perfect.
  • Weights and weight belt – Having an assortment of smaller weights to adjust for proper buoyancy is a must.
  • Depth and/or timing device – A waterproof watch at the very least, better yet a freediving computer is perfect.

Don’t worry about lines, floats and those sorts of things, we’ll bring that. We also travel with an assortment of freediving computers for you to try out as well. Along with all of this we’ll video your clinic so you can review each day, your skills in the water as they improve.
