PFI Freediver Course in Bradenton, FL with Abyss Freediving

Below are items that you need for the course with some freediving specific suggestions.
- Mask, fins and snorkel – Preferably low volume mask, J snorkel and long blade fins.
- Wetsuit – 3mm wetsuit is required for pool and open water sessions. A good freediving suit with attached hood is strongly recommended. If your hood is not attached please bring a separate hood.
- Weights and weight belt – Best choice is a rubber weight belt with an assortment of smaller weights to adjust for proper buoyancy.
- Depth and/or timing device – A waterproof watch at the very least, better yet a freediving computer is perfect.
Dive Adventures store has a full selection of freediving gear available for purchase.
The following schedule is subject to change. The course starts right on time each day. Please arrive ready to start class Friday evening. Full course payment is due at this time.
Day 1- Friday
6:00pm – 9:45pm: Registration and Classroom
Day 2- Saturday
8:00am – 10:00am: Classroom
11:00am – 3:00pm: Pool session
Day 3- Sunday
9:00am – 11:00am: Spring/Boat session 12:00am – 2:00pm: Spring/Boat session
Note: We require a minimum of 3 students to run this basic course. Boat charters require a minimum of 4 to run, so if less than 4 people sign up we will use a spring. We may also use spring if weather does not allow us to go offshore.
