Advanced Freediver & Safety Supervisor Courses in Guam

* You need to have taken the PFI Intermediate Freediver course before taking this Advanced or Safety course.  The Intermediate course runs April 5-8, 2014 (immediately before) so you can do both courses back to back!

Location Information

Classroom: We will use the classroom at Fa’nu’i

Pool: We will be using either the Sheraton pool or one on base.

Open Water: This will depend on conditions but may be at Gun Beach or off of a boat (fees TBA)

We will send location updates as they come in.  Kirk Krack with be the Instructor.

Equipment Requirements

  • Mask, fins and snorkel – Preferably low volume mask and long blade fins or mono fin.
  • Wetsuit with gloves and boots – 3mm freediving suit is required for pool and ocean sessions. Good freediving suit with attached hood is perfect.
  • Weights and weight belt – Having an assortment of smaller weights to adjust for proper buoyancy is a must.
  • Depth and/or timing device – A waterproof watch at the very least, better yet a freediving computer is perfect.
  • Lanyard

Don’t worry about lines, floats and those sorts of things, we’ll bring that. We also travel with an assortment of freediving computers for you to try out as well. Along with all of this we’ll video your clinic so you can review each day, your skills in the water as they improve.

Clinic Schedule

The following schedule is subject to change. The course starts at 8am sharp. Full course payment is due at this time.

*If you are taking just the Safety Supervisor course then you will take part in the last 3-days only.

Day 1

8am: Meet at Jack’s Diving Locker for class, continue to pool Afternoon- Ocean

Day 2

Morning- Pool and Class Afternoon- Ocean

Day 3

Morning- Classroom: First Aid Afternoon- Ocean

Day 4*

Morning- First Aid and Pool (Dynamic Apnea) Afternoon- Classroom

Day 5*

Morning- Class Afternoon- Ocean

Day 6*

Morning- Class Afternoon- Ocean

Please don’t plan any flights out early in the day as class ends around 6pm in the evening the final day.
