Education for Every Level

Performance Freediving offers multi-faceted educational freediving courses targeted at a wide range of snorkelers, freedivers and spearfisherman.  Not all courses are suitable for every person and individuals of different levels of experience require different training. The three programs cover Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Freediver levels.  The core of all these programs is safety and self rescue skills with technique development emphasizing comfort in the open water environment.  For more information check out the pages on the specific courses:

Experience Counts! Performance Freediving has been around for over 7-years teaching PFI Freediving Programs to over 2300 people from all over the world. Kirk Krack, lead instructor, has trained and set up world record events for many world record athletes such as Brett LeMaster, Tanya Streeter, Martin Stepanek, Karol Meyer, Eric Fattah and Mandy-Rae Cruickshank. PFI instructors Mandy-Rae Cruickshank and Kirk Krack are highly acclaimed world record freedivers and/or trainers.  Each have an extensive instructional background with instructor trainer level with many scuba diving agencies.  All instructional assistants have proven themselves in a rigorous and thorough training program and have the highest level of freediving experience. 

Low instructor to student ratios means that in the water you will have 1 instrutcor to two buddy teams. Our in water system is set up in a way that you will have 4 student divers per line. This means you get a lot of attention from our instructors and no crowds on your diving line.

Post course follow up includes a package including your course DVD, a certificate of completion and a certification card. Many boats, pools and open water sites are starting to impose strick no-breathhold rules at their facilities. PFI is working to have them recognize our certification cards and allow our students to dive at their facilities.

Private Courses

PFI does offer private courses for groups of 1 to 16 people at a cost of a full 16 person course. We will work with you to find a date and location that best suits you. Intermediate and Advanced courses only.
